David Okuji, DDS, MBA, MS
Dr. Okuji received his dental education at UCLA and pediatric dentistry residency certification at the University of Southern California. He also has an MBA from the U.C. Berkeley-Haas School of Business and earned an M.S. degree in health care management from the Harvard School of Public Health. Early in his career Dr. Okuji practiced as an associate pediatric dentist in Northern California for 5 years and then practiced for Saudi‐ARAMCO, an international oil company for the next 5 years. After repatriating to the U.S., he was the principal of a multi‐dentist, multi‐specialty practice for 24 years in California. He currently operates a dental practice consulting company and serves as a Senior Associate Director for the NYU Langone pediatric dental residency program. In addition to his practice management experience, Dr. Okuji is an educator and public health advocate. He is also board certified in pediatric dentistry and public health, and serves as a part-time lecturer in Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. His primary academic interests are in value-based health care systems and global public health. Dr. Okuji's never ending mantra for students is "Go forth and serve." |
Alec Eidelman, DMD, MPH
Dr. Alec Eidelman is the Oral Health Fellow at the Cambridge Health Alliance. He received his DMD degree from the Tufts University of Dental Medicine and completed the GPR residency at the CHA/Harvard School of Dental Medicine program. Dr. Eidelman's primary interest is in oral health advocacy. Civic and community engagement began for Dr. Eidelman while working at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was a part of a public health group, Botswana Oncology Global Outreach (BOTSOGO), which is helping to develop the cancer control strategy for the country. Experiencing how health care providers can collaborate with local and national government ignited Dr. Eidelman's passion for advocating on behalf of patients and populations in an effective manner. |
Caleb Tam, DDS, MS
Dr. Caleb Tam received his DDS and MS degrees from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). During his tenure there, he was a 4-time winner at UCSF’s Clinical and Research Excellence Day and has been presented with awards/scholarships from the American Dental Association (ADA) Foundation, International/American Association for Dental Research (IADR/AADR), Colgate, Pierre Fauchard Academy, Academy of Osseointegration, and Academy of Dental Materials. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Tam completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) program at the Cambridge Health Alliance and Harvard School of Dental Medicine (CHA/HSDM), where he now serves as a practicing dentist and attending faculty. Dr. Tam’s mission is to provide the highest level of care to his community, meanwhile advancing the field of oral health through scientific discovery and innovation. His primary academic interests include dental biomaterials, dental regenerative therapies, and the “Oral Physician” training model. Dr. Tam also has a passion for education and teaching – he currently holds several active student mentorship roles through CHA/HSDM, where he is committed to guiding and empowering future generations of dental professionals. |
